L-Tyrosine

(non-essential amino acid)

What is L-Tyrosine?

L-Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid. It is found in casein. L-Tyrosine is synthesized from phenylalanine, another amino acid. It is very important to the structure of virtually all proteins in the body. L-Tyrosine is a precursor to neurotransmitters and increases plasma neurotransmitter levels (not only dopamine and norepinephrine, but L-Dopa and epinephrine as well). During times of stress, L-Tyrosine converts thyroid hormone into adrenaline. Under chronically stressed conditions, L-Tyrosine levels can be depleted, hence the need to supplement.

L-Tyrosine is converted by the skin into melanin to help protect it from the harmful effects of uv rays.

What are the benefits of L-Tyrosine?

  • Aids neurotransmission
  • Helps combat depression
  • Boosts melanin to protect the skin against UV rays
  • Helps replenish neurotransmitters

How can you get L-Tyrosine into your body?

Dietary sources of L-Tyrosine include fish, meats, dairy products, wheat, oats, as well as other protein containing foods. Because no one ingredient works totally on its own, and is enhanced by other ingredients combined with it, we recommend you include L-glutamine as part of a complete homeopathic hgh (human growth hormone) product. L-glutamine is an ingredient in the following HGH products:
